BIO

Elaine Loh graduated magna cum laude from Brown University with a degree in psychology and scored in the 99th percentile on the GMAT. Her work in the field of education was published in “New Directions for Child and Adolescent Development”.

For the first three and a half years of college, Elaine studied psychology and mathematics. And then, one credit short of completing a double major, she decided that she just could not do math ANYMORE. Now, she is content to help other people who have that feeling. Empathy goes a long way! She has been a test preparation tutor and teacher for over half of her life, scoring in the 92nd-99th percentile on the SAT, ACT, LSAT, and GRE. She can’t get enough of standardized tests, so much so that she once created a math booth for a backyard carnival. (It involved solving a math problem and shooting a bow and arrow. It was fun.)

In her other life, Elaine works as an actor. She has been on a number of television shows and students always get excited to say, “Hey! That’s my teacher!”. She also teaches acting classes. Basically, Elaine was born to teach. She loves the feeling of training someone to think differently – whether that shift comes in content understood, attitude towards the task, or belief about oneself.

She can also solve a Rubik’s cube in less than two minutes. She can teach you that too if you want!
